1. Folding the clothesline
Wind the line down, place your fingers on top of the bush and squeeze the cross and arms up with your hands, lift the latch up and gently lower the cross section. Wrap the retaining cord around the arms and secure. See fig 1-2.

2. Removing the clothesline
Fold the clothesline then simply hold the main column and lift up slightly, turn the column in a clockwise direction and then remove. Fit the socket cap onto the ground socket.
3. Replacing the clothesline
Insert the clothesline into the socket and gently lower onto the stop pin, rotate the column until it drops down, turn again anticlockwise and the column will then lock down.
4. Unfolding the clothesline
Undo the retaining cord. Grasp the arms and gently pull outwards, raise the cross up as far as it will go and lower the latch to lock into position. Make sure that there are no tangled cords when opening.
5. Line tightening
NOTE: This only needs doing occasionally. Not each time you replace the line in the socket.
To re-tighten the lines, start by opening the lever on the line tension lock. Start tightening the lines from the innermost end. Pull the cords tight working your way outwards. Pull the cord knob and press the lever on the line tension lock down.
